Do I need to
commit to a contract?
There are no
joining fees and no financial contracts at Your Wellness Centre. We
realise every one has different goals, timeframes and budgets so
losing weight with us is about tailoring it to fit you. The only
contract we are interested in is the commitment you make to
yourself to lose weight!
Is this a
high protein diet?
This isn’t a
high protein diet. We recognize a healthy body encourages healthy
weight loss, so the food programmes we use provide the correct
balance of protein, carbohydrate, vitamins, minerals and essential
fatty acids needed to boost your energy, encourage weight loss and
keep you feeling great.
Can I lose
weight without exercise?
Yes you can!
Not all of us have the time for lengthy exercise programmes, or
perhaps a reccurring injury is limiting your movement. Research has
shown that exercise contributes to weight loss, however it is the
food we put into our bodies which is the key to long term
success.
Since
entering menopause I have put on weight I just can’t shift, can
your programme help?
Most
definitely. We understand the impact female hormones have on weight
management and we can tailor your programme to address any
underlying issues. Imagine no more hot flushes, more energy and
weight loss all at the same time!
What has my
thyroid got to do with losing weight?
The thyroid
gland is very small but it has a big part to play in losing weight.
If you think it is not functioning as well as it should then this
programme is definitely for you. A healthy body means healthy
weight loss and the thyroid gland works best in a healthy body. By
eating the correct balance of protein, carbohydrate, vitamins,
minerals and essential fatty acids, your thyroid will help to boost
your metabolism and you will lose
weight.
Is your
programme safe if I have type II diabetes or high blood
pressure?
Experts agree
that type II diabetes and high blood pressure may improve with a
healthy diet and lifestyle. Many of our clients have noticed an
improvement in their blood sugar readings and blood pressure. We
strongly recommended that you inform your doctor when you start our
programme so they can adjust your medication if
necessary.
How long will
it take to lose weight?
That all
depends on how much weight you have to lose. We usually find in the
first week you can lose between 2 to 5 kilos, and each week after
that 1 to 3 kilos. Besides weight changing on the scales, because
we take measurements of your body each week, you will notice
consistent centimetre loss too. You will experience that great
feeling of clothes loosening as your figure becomes more
slender.
Do I replace
my meals with shakes and bars?
One of our
aims in helping you to lose weight is for you to experience more
energy, consistent fat loss and better health with great tasting
nutritious food you prepare yourself. The problem with relying
mainly on shakes and bars is what happens when you stop the shakes
and bars – your weight starts to climb up again. We want you to
rediscover that a balanced eating plan is all you need to shed
those kilos.
